How do I maximize the vase-life of my fresh cut flowers?Fresh cut flowers typically last between 5-10+ days depending on the flower variety and room conditions. You can maximize the life of your blooms with with these 5 easy steps: 1. Snip a little off of each stem end at a 45 degree angle. 2. Remove any leaves that fall below the water line in your vase. 3. Fill your vase with fresh lukewarm water, add flower food (it helps flowers keep their vibrant colour) and ensure all stem ends are submerged in the water. 4. Avoid displaying flowers in direct sun, near hot or cold drafts or near ripening fruits, as they release ethylene gas which ages flowers prematurely. 5. Replace water every other day. Fresh cut flowers drink a lot of water! Keep the vase "clean enough to drink from".
